NLHF funded project evaluation
We have a finely tuned understanding of NLHF’s requirements and approach that we pass on to our clients. We work with Clients to co-develop evaluation programmes, selecting the right methods to enable us to assess all aspects of a project against NLHF’s and the project’s objectives and outcomes.

PCA’s approach is to put engagement at the heart of evaluation. We believe that audiences and stakeholders should play a central part in both the evaluation and the subsequent learning and enhancement of projects throughout their design and deliver and in terms of the legacy and impacts on future projects.

Our evaluations follow a logical framework, provide robust evidence and a detailed analysis of the relevant data. We identify openly where things did not go well and could be improved in the future, both to help our clients improve their projects and to help other projects funded by the NLHF and others to be successful.

Evaluation is only really effective when project teams and stakeholders regard it as an integral part of project design and delivery. Project partners, staff and volunteers, as well as audiences, need to feel a sense of ownership in the evaluation process. Throughout our proposed work programme, we have included time for engaging staff and stakeholders and opportunities for them to respond to the draft monitoring and evaluation framework and reports.

Our project evaluations focus on measuring success against key outcomes, using both quantitative and qualitative data using key evaluation questions. We have a finely tuned understanding of the NHLF’s requirements and approach that we pass on to our clients. We tailor our approach to evaluation to reflect the nature of each individual project, the people involved and the target audiences.
